Is there a real village of Santa in Rovaniemi, where you can take reindeer rides? I want to take my kid there.(give a different answer) .
Yes, 8 km north of Rovaniemi there's a village where an everjoyful Santa is ready for pictures, of course as long as he's not at work in his hectic workshop. Every year he receives 600,000 letters, one third of which gets an answer. If you've got a kid home, there's a shop selling Yuletide presents which can be shipped to your address, along with a handwritten Santa postcard (for some extra money). Due to a reindeer farm next door, tourists get the chance of a wonder sleighride lead by Rudolph, Dancer and Prancer copies.
